Pretty Pretty Princess

We were doodling in their notebooks and my nieces wanted me to draw them as princesses using their favorite colors. I think they're pretty good likenesses considering they're in crayon and I had a four year old and a two year old hanging on me and moving the paper so they could see.

Cut and Paste

Arts and crafts with my three year old niece.
I'd draw something, she'd cut it out and paste it. Though most of the time she'd cut the drawings into pieces and then "fix" them with a glue stick. This is the one she didn't cut to bits. It's a turtle.

I'm in the process of updating some old assignments that used Aviary, which is sadly going in a different direction from giving away cool web based media editing tools for free, to GIMP, which is still free but not web based.
Here's one picture from five that I drew that the students may choose to color on the computer.

Frosty Reception

Adorable, isn't it? For the Page-Wood family Christmas my little cousins  arrived with little foam kits to make snowmen and I thought it would look super cute to do it this way. I showed it to my cousin Keira, who is in kindergarten, and she informed me that I'd done it wrong and it was upside down.

Burned by a kindergartner. 

I still think it's cuter this way.

Whenever I sit through a presentation I doodle (while still paying complete attention I assure you) and sometimes what comes out of that isn't anything I really set out to create (probably because I'm too busy paying attention to the presentation). For example, a Kitty Monkey.

So what's the deal with this old lady rodent thing? I don't know, do I have to justify everything that pours out of my pen?!

Okay, in full disclosure, I started drawing Jabberjaw, the Hanna Barbara shark who sounded like Curly from the Three Stooges on a show that was basically a rip off of Josie and the Pussy Cats set underwater. It wasn't working, so I turned him into a lady muskrat or something.

Why was I drawing Jabberjaw? I don't know, do I have to justify everything?!
