A quick example done for class.
I work multiple jobs. Some days it's my job to draw stuff, but most days it's not. But I still draw something pretty much every day because drawing's fun even when work is not. For your consideration, a collection of stuff I doodled on the job.

What I Drew At Home Today
I had the day off and felt like drawing, so I drew this.
So I guess the title of my blog is partially inaccurate today as this is what I drew while watching cartoons.
It's some lady's face. I thought her face was interesting and wanted to draw it so I did.

Angel Cakes
After yesterday's picture I wanted to post something that proves I can draw something of a definite gender wearing sunglasses.
This is an older drawing that was used as a CD cover once upon a time back when people still used CD's.

Ramone or Ramona?
Another drawing on my phone experiment, this time with the app "SketchBook Mobile."
It turned out a little too ambiguously androgynous I think.

Flip the Bird
I was playing around with the app "Brushes" again and this was the result.
I think it's pretty good for something I doodled with no reference point on the touch screen of my phone, but I guess if I have to add that many qualifiers about why I think it's okay then maybe it's not.
It's a matter of process vs. product I guess which is a big long rant that nobody would read, so suffice it to say it's a bird I drew with my finger.

Locksley Hall
This is an old watercolor painting I did that I thought I'd drag out with the onset of spring.
I don't have the original anymore as I gave it away as a birthday present to to some girl years ago.
At the time impressing her seemed really important, but looking back one of the few things I really remember about her was waiting in her apartment for her to be ready to go out as she was trying to discretely have a conversation with her mother on the phone about a recent and uncomfortable bout with severe diarrhea which I totally heard loud and clear in nagging motherly detail.
The spring, when a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love.

Top o' the Mornin'
I don't know how Irish my leprechaun wound up looking- he seems a little less "luck o' the Irish" and little more "gettin' lucky in Kentucky."

Bad Egg
I'm doing a unit on value and shading and having students draw eggs, and let me tell you, effectively portraying the complex interplay of light and shadow on an eggshell is not easy to do with a pink dry erase marker.

Rex-n-Effect
This was a collaborative drawing with some students and another teacher.
I don't really remember what the point of it was aside from that I wanted to draw a dinosaur and they wanted to draw purple polkadots and flowers. How we didn't wind up with a picture of Barney I'll never know.

Richelieu
A demo for a grid drawing for class (each square is 1"x1"). It will be colored using Prismacolor color pencils and mineral spirits when it's done.
